PotD #99: My Exercise Journey

Over the past two months, I’ve been upping my exercise routine.

From taking a gentle walk during my lunch break at work to zumba.

And what I’ve realised is that I’m definitely wearing the wrong size of shoe!

I’ve been asked: How have you been wearing the wrong size shoes for so long?! It doesn’t make sense!

And they’re right, it doesn’t make sense.

But what I’ve found is that I’m a 7.5 in shoe size… And in the UK, it’s a difficult size to find. Because most brands don’t do half sizes!

So, I’ve been forced to always get 7s and stretch them with my feet which has caused scaring on my heels and constant blisters.

And I made it worse today. I went on a 2.5km jog. On the jog, I was wearing my only pair of shoes… Flat pull on vans-style shoes. A size 7.

They’ve caused blisters on the tips of my toes, the ball of my feet, the heels of my feet, the side of my feet and on the side of the little toe on each foot.

My feet fucking hurt!

I’ve invested in some new shoes. Ones that are soft on the inside, bouncy, and fitted to a 7.5 to help with my 3 hours of Zumba a week and my four hours of jogging a week.

Fingers crossed, once the new shoes arrive, I’ll get back to exercise without too much more pain from my feet.

I’ll update you next week!

Now, stay safe!
